2004 883 does fine when I am accelerating. As soon as I get to cruising, the bike starts to buck and stutter, not like it has a miss, but like it's almost running out of gas. Full tank, coils are fine, and if I downshift, and keep the rpm's up, it goes fine. I have already replaced the crank position sensor, plugs, and cleaned tank out, just in case. Help......

I get a bit of a serge when the engine is not under load - like you said - drop a gear and all is fine - I think it`s normal.
