My 80' ironhead broke again....
Getting my 80 sporty 1000 just about road ready....tried to start it and go for a check out ride...the solenoid and the starter chatter something awful and then nothing...took it apart today....the solenoid is shot but it allowed the bendix to engage several times quickly, breaking off 2 teeth off the starter....new starter $170....new solenoid $55....ad on craigslist..free....I've just about had it....hate to say it...back to a Honda?....
