anybody make there own aircleaners
If theres companys out there that sell a air cleaner with a 300 price tag on it with a very inexpensive filter element well i think it should be easy to make your own. I know a few of you guys have made your own so share them and give some tips or even DIY's would be awsome. I would love to get a RSD air cleaner but im just not down for forking out the cash for it. any info pics would be awsome thanks!

I've made quite a few of these.
Total price is around $65 and that's mostly because of the carb support/crank case breather I buy from Jireh to mount it. Add a K&N element (part # E-3120) for just a few bucks more.
But I've also made a few using a crank case breather I've made.
You could easily get alot more flashy but that's not my style.
And the element in the air cleaner in my sig pic is K&N part # E-3200

I made my own by cutting the stock back plate down to pretty much just the mounting holes(so I can still mount the stock filter) and put the cover back on. Looks similiar to the SE A/C. Ran it that way for about 15k miles with no problems. Although my AN Big Sucker should be here tomorrow.
