Default Whoa.. nice difference

Just put on SEII slip-ons (slash down) and SE high flow air filter on my 06' 883C. Boy what a difference in sound and the way it runs.
Feels exactly like I expected the potential to be. When I left the dealer, my ears were blocking from the sound even with a full face helmet..lol.

They did quiet a bit after the initial 200 miles from the soot I suppose. They sound perfect.

Cheers,
Marc

Hey, Maccam-
Did you have the work done at the dealer and did they need to do a re-jet? If they did, do you know if they uncapped the idle mixture screw and also what jets they used?
Just curious about the details since you sound very happy with the results; I've done the V&H Slip-ons and plan on doing the AC next (probably the Kuryakyn Hi-five).

Hey,

When I owned my V-Star 650, I did the carb tinkering myself when I put HK pipes.. That bike has two mikuni carbs, that need to be in sync. I got so sick of trying to make it run perfect and I had to pull the tank every time to tinker.. This time I pulled $$$ at of my pocket and let the guys at my dealer do it. They put a #48 slow jet and did adjust the mixture. The bike runs excellent. For the money they charged to install the pipes, re-jet and install the High Flow at 150$cdn, I figured it was worth it.

I'll post pics when I get a chance to clean the thing.. already got 3500miles in 40 days of ownership..lol.

Cheers,
Marc
