Default Catalyst Mufflers

I'm looking at getting some slip on's for my 1200r '06, and noticed that you can get Sreamin' Eagle HD Slip-on Catalyst Mufflers.
Anybody know what these are? How different are they from the older slip on's? I'm looking for a little louder, deeper sound but not excessively loud.

If you look at the front stock muffler on the 06 you'll see it has catalyst marked on it. They used them only on the front. If you want to be EPA compliant you need to put a cat muffler on the front, if you don't care then thats a different story. Hope this helps.

Dennis Kirk and American Classic Motors have slip-ons. You cna also find them on eBay. I decided to go with a whole new set of pipes after doing some research, but the folks who have submitted posts about their slip-ons really like them.

If you're up for replacing the pipes, I'd recommend these: https://www.hdforums.com/m_753948/tm.htm
