Default Thoughts on Freedom Shorty's (pipes)

Hey guys,
I was about to pull the trigger on some Samson Shorty's till I started doing some more research and found I should probably look elsewhere.

I am now looking at Freedom Independence Shorty's in black and am wondering if anyone here is using these pipes and can attest to the quality of materials...customer service etc.

I need to get some pipes quick as I am tired of people not being able to see OR hear me and coming in my lane.

It will be a couple more moneths or so before I will be able to add a fuel pack of some sort and an air cleaner.
But I NEED louder pipes now!

So I am going to buy some sort of pipes first then a fuel pack then the air cleaner.
Also I have heard that many fuel packs only last about a year so i will probably just go with the Harley version.

It shouldn't be this hard to have a free breathing bike with some freakin loud pipes...lol

Just be sure your ready to most likely sacrifice performance for looks! Most short pipes don't perform all that well. Not critisizing you by any means cause I went with Shortshots right off the bat but now am going with a 2 into 1 pipe!

I had Freedom exhaust on my bike for a year. They performed ok and were loud; however, rust began forming on the heatshields quickly. A few emails and calls for some help with this ended with no answered calls or emails. Needless to say, I dumped the pipes, went with V&H and have had excellent customer service from them for exhaust and Fuel-Pak questions. JMO

cool, great answers.
I think my Nightster has plenty of power right now so dont really care if it loses a little.
Then again I have also heard the same things about long pipes too and understand that 2 into 1 is the way to go for performance...but damn they are ugly to me
I really like the straight shots look, but they are too expensive for my taste

I got them cheap from Eastern Performance. You can even get a bit more off if you ask....usually.
