Default Belt Drive care

What, if anything, do you do to care for your belt drive? My last bike was a shaft drive. My first little 650 Thumper was belt, and I know some folks were using some type of Armor All product on their belt. I didn't keep that bike that long...so I never bothered.

Default RE: Belt Drive care

The final belt drives that Harley has used for a number of years are pretty maintenance free.

You don't really need to apply any products to the belt, and under normal conditions they should last for 50,000+ miles.

You should check it every free thousand miles to check the wear, and also to check it's tension. Also check to make sure there are any splits or cuts caused by rocks or other objects.

But the belt drives are a blessing over the chains we use to run on Harleys.
