Default Ignition Coil

Been having some problems with the bike lately dropping the front cylinder. After troubleshooting and reading the DTCs, it turns out the coil is going bad, or already is. That being said, anyone know a good place to pick up a coil for a decent price? Anyone got the part #? Thanks a lot!

What year and model is your bike? If it's your 48, it is under warranty.

Yeah its still under warranty, but to put the hours back into the bike to set it back to stock is something I don't feel like doing if the coil is $100 or so. If the bike goes in as it is now, the warranty is definitely void and they'll just stick it to me anyway. Given, if it's more then yeah, wrenches shall turn.

On a side note, don't the Rocker coils use the same mounting hardware? They look a lot better than ours. Anyone have the information on these things? Thanks.

Warranty is only affected if you did something that directly relates to the problem, afaik.

I checked out your pics ..Looks good btw.And i don't see why you don't go straight to the dealer. If you start replacing coils and somthing else goes wrong then they might have an issue.Leave your bike as is
... mine went in for a new speedo at the end of my warentee after my mods all the commented on was how cool it looked.H.

Just figured that with the Power Commander, ignition relocation, plug wires, etc. that they'd be like VOID.

But I am brought to a new problem, I don't have a way to get the bike to the dealership. I can't very well ride it because the dealer is about 40 minutes away and when the bike warms up it drops a cylinder. Or should I say, once the coil heats up it drops a cylinder. So my approach is going to be take the coil in and tell them what's up and if that doesn't work I'm back to square one, looking for a deal on a new coil.

Took the coil in today and got fed a total line of **** from the service dept., as anticipated. Dude doubled back on his words a few times before I said screw it and left. He wouldn't give me the part number for the coil either, so I'm back to square one. Anyone know the part number?
