Default opinions on Samson Shorty's

Hey guys, I am looking for some louder pipes mostly for safety but I like the sound of hot rod pipes too
Anyhow I am looking at getting some Samson Shorty's in Sinister Black as I have an 08 Nightster.

Anyone have these pipes and can share their experience with them?

I started looking at the Sideshots cause I just love the look of those pipes but they are wayyyyy too pricey for me.

If you like the look go for it! As I learned on the dyno with my shortshots longer is better and nothing beats a good 2into1 pipe in terms of performance!

If all you want is loud, get drag pipes. Just remember, they do squat for performance.

Here is what a pair sound like, they're plenty loud.
When I got them, I also put on a Arlen Ness Stage 1 Big Sucker, a Power Commander V, and had it Dyno-Tuned.
My baby runs like a swiss watch.

My husband put Vance & Hines Staggered short shots on my "48" and it sounds kick ***! I wasn't impressed with the Sampsons on the U Tube video but I imagine the sound was somewhat distorted. You really need to hear them in person to appreciate
the sound.

Rick, are you running with the baffles out or in?

I heard another clip that sounded more throaty and bassy than yours is why I am asking. Also I am planning on doing the A/C and Fuel management at at later date after the pipes....so I will probably run with the baffles in till I get that done to have some back pressure.

Your bike is sweet!

They are out. The clip does'nt do them justice, it was shot with an Iphone.
