Default Anyone running J&P Cycles shocks?

I was flipping through my recently arrived J&P catalog and noticed the J&P shocks which are made by Progressive. At $179 they seem like a great deal. I have no idea how they compare to the 412 shocks but am curious if anyone is running them? Impressions?

Guess I may need to take one for the team and be the guinea pig for these shocks, huh? I'll PM the Progressive dude on here and see if I can get some more details.

A set of "real" Progressive 412's are only about $180 from Eastern Performance, last time I checked.

I looked at them but wanted the 412 HD version. Ended up finding them for $217 shipped and went that route.

Well... dang. J&P must be awfully proud of the 412s then, they want $299 for the pair.

Just checked them and looks like Eastern Performance wants $210 for the Progressive 412s.

I have always wondered about both the J&P shocks and the Drag Specialties shocks as they both say they are made by Progressive. I would guess they are the same quality as the 412 just no Progressive stamp. If they were worse then they would just be a set of OEM Harley shocks!

According to Progressive, the J&P shocks are not gas charged as are the 412s. For the extra few bucks I'll probably go with the 412s.

J&P is an awesome site and even cooler store in Daytona, but there prices are up there for sure. I was looking at the J&P shocks a bit ago,but just did not have the best feeling about them over the progressive.

Not sure I would get anything made by drag specialties, everything I got from them did not fit or had the wrong parts.
My hiway pegs had the wrong bolts, the handlebar risers did not fit and would have pointed the speedometer at my stomach...

I had three sets of progressive shocks from the cheapest online place I could find ($200.00) and all have been great.
