Default Clutch Cable Lube

Need to lube my clutch cable..Got the procedure down pretty well (I think) any suggestions which oil to use??

'04 Manual says use Super Oil ( HD-94968-85TV ) on hand levers & cables. I haven't done mine yet so can't give you a cost.

Yeah, I read that in the Shop Manual...just figured there was probably something cheaper..and possibly better than a HD lubricant.

I use the H-D stuff. Works well, but I can't say its cheap.

WD40 and a cable luber.....

As long as you are doing your services religously, this is an inexpensive and quite easy method.....

Thing is you have to use a lube that doed not attract dirt or gum up....

WD flushes all that crap into the trans, prior to you dropping the fluid out of it....

LubIt8 is another good alternative, and it is in a "Pen" type dispenser, not a fast moving lube. but good quality....

I like to use BREAK FREE ! A great product for several uses . Can find it with the gun stuff at Wallmart .

My HD dealer turned me on to something called Lube it-8. Works great on everything. Tim
