handlebar help and suggestions for iron
stock xl883n
short story is that my arms are short . even with the H-D 'reach seat' my elbows are nearly straight and my body leaned forward while riding. while i like the aggressive feel and control of the position, it takes a toll on me after a while.
i am looking for pointers and suggestions on a replacement bar. apes, mini apes, and Z bars are out of the question. im thinking maybe something with a tad more rise and an inch or two more pull-back or perhaps a smaller buckhorn type? unfortunately the H-D site's bar selector is no help to me.
any suggestions? pics are welcomed too!
EDIT: it would seem that 883L/1200L bars may fit the bill. anyone with experience with both the iron and 883l bars?

y dont u just use some common geometry.... grab a square and measure how u wanna go, then from there go with the pull back.... u can also change the risers to move the bars closer to u.... i.e.

or

u can check sites like j p cycles for a wide selection of bars.... on my set up i went with the stock risers on a drage bar 32" wide with a 4.5" pullback... now I am 6'3" with 37" long arms(sleeve size) I am still strecthed out over with a slight bend at the elbow. I am going to switich it up to a set of Licks Z bars and see if i like the ride quality better.

thanks fellas!
i am thinking a set of pullback risers are the way to go.
i stopped by the dealer today and sat on an 883L and loved the bars.... but they told me the wires/cables may come up short. the nightster bar is better than my stock one, and the cables should work but the extra bar width seems to counter the gains in pullback.
yup, some spiffy new risers or a used nightster bar are looking like the way to go.
