In the military we didn't have air tools and we managed to get out every bolt on the helicopters, you ain't seen tight bolts till you try and break rotor bolts. What we would do to get extra grip is put some spit on the end of the socket or bit, whatever we were using, and stick it in the dirt. The dirt will give it a whole lot more grip. This method isn't fool proof but it helps a lot. Try it. It's free.

 

Well, I went out and tried again. Made sure I had the proper bit and a nice ratchet.

Stripped the bolt on the triple tree pretty good. Guess I'm screwed with this mod...
