Default Tank Lift

I just purchased a 2inch Tank lift from Lickscycles and I was wondering if anyones got any suggestions on this. Is it easy to install. I have a new 2010 883 and I also wanna cut out that plastic that is under the tank where all the wires run. It looks to be easy but if anyone's done it before, any advice would be great. Thank you

Its super easy. All you have to do to clear any thoughts up is grab the pieces and go to bike, then look. After that, it all falls into place.

Very straight forward. It should basically figure itself out.

I'm thinking of doing it, too. Not sure if I'll like the result on my bike, though.

It's really easy. I have an '08 Nightster. I lifted my tank 3''. I'm pretty sure its the same concept. Get some black cloth-like automotive tape & black zip-ties (I think I got mine at auto zone). Disconnect the fuel line, Mine had a quick disconnect coupling at the tank. The fuel wont run out of the tank after being disconnected. Remove the bolts holding the tank (front and rear of tank). Set the tank aside. Remove all the zip-ties holding on the plastic crap. At this point I was also relocating my ignition and coil (which is the harder part). I cut the the plastic wrap off the wires all the way as far back as possible. I relocated the ignition and coil then re-taped the wiring with the cloth-like automotive tape. Run the wires on the top of the frame rail under the tank. Then replace the tank and connect the fuel line.

Please check out my youtube video to see the finished product. http://www.youtube.com/user/joelspencer666
