Full faced is the way to go. They make transitional shields now too that get darker and lighter depending on the conditions. The vision and safety is unmatched. Plus you can hear the bike and not just wind. 100 mph with clear vision, hearing and safety is a good thing. Skull caps are for looks.

Disagree on the last sentence. "Styles" change. Skull caps look funny, especially on big guys.

I got a full face despite what some have told me. Screw that. I want to be safe. Plus my helmet is dope looking, has an internal pull down shaded lens for bright days, and an anitfog pinlock insert. Pricey but ITS MY HEAD.

I ride a 2010 1200. I thought a bucket would be cool, but I do own a black Arai Astral full face & yes I wear it.

That's a serious looking helmet with a serious price tag. Glad you like it.

I wear a brain bucket, but know people who have been riding for 40-50 years wearing a full face. It's just preference. I personally don't wear them because I get claustrophobic and have personal safety opinions, but it doesn't make you any less of a "biker".
