Real Harley owners dont wear full face helmets?

My wife, I shot...
Here's the thing, no one ever expects to go down so all you can do is preemptive and protect yourself. Want to wear short, a wife beater, and flip flops with no helmet while I'm in full gear? That's fine, but if you're the one that has a deer run out in front of you, a tire blow, or something happen and you go down, you're the one that's going to be more seriously injured or possibly killed because you weren't "expecting to go down".

The helmets and gear they make these days are are fantastic, compared to days of old.
I always wear helmet, boots gloves, but recently added some nice low profile under clothes body protection.
For less than $200, I got stealth CE elbow sleeves (fit under any normal hoody), CE lo-pro full back protector and some padded shorts (hips, tailbone).
Is is light, comfortable and breathes well. You can't barely tell I am even wearing armor under my hoody.
Going down would not be fun with full protection, less so with none.
It's your life, make your choice...

No, we don't expect to go down. We expect to get right back up.

What I find funny after reading this is....
Actually go to a HD dealership.....
Ask to take a test ride on any of their bikes.....
Actually read and sign the waiver....
And they will hand you a 3/4 or full face helmet if you don't have one!
And they have plenty on the shelf to sell you also....
So to say you can only use half shell helmets or no helmets (I'm in that crowd of prefer no helmet at times) when riding a Harley is pure BS!
And any long rides (more than 1/2 hour) I always take the Full Face Brain Bucket with me.
Ride Hard, or Stay Home!
