Well it does sit in the garage next to a Suzuki. It might already think it's a Jap bike.

I took all my safety classes and got my license so Ive been taking the necessary steps to become a responsible owner. Ive done a few mods, including drag bars, new seat, pegs etc. The bike looks wicked and people can't believe its a harley and I get tons of compliments.

I wear an Icon SSR full face helmet thats flat black to match the bike. Someone told me today "real harley owners dont wear full face helmets". Im new to the whole culture but I understand it. Ive seen guys wearing vanity helmets that are not DOT approved and they do look cool but I dont want to risk my safety. I already feel weird enough driving without my leather jacket, but its been a constant 90 degrees and humid and I just cant do it.

So my question is, do I look douchey riding around with a full face helmet and gloves and nothing else? Am I the butt of all jokes when other motorcycle guys drive by?

The real problem here is that you care. Are you comfortable? Did you buy the bike for someone else? If the answers to those questions are a yes and no, respectively, then tell the haters to jog the **** on. Just ride man. Probably some moron that's watched too much "SONS" telling you that **** anyway.

I've had a couple of experiences with head trauma in my life and it's not something I wanna relive voluntarily. I might ride with no jacket, gloves, or boots but I always have my ff on.

What a motorcyclist wears tells a lot about what he thinks of himself - period!

Nice & I see they're on sale at many online vendors...might have to add to my collection. Always wondered how modular would work w/glasses...sux always having to work around them when putting helmet on/taking off. Figure modular would be more convenient...we'll see. Thanks!

I tried this once, guess I should have at least worn underware that day. To this day I don't understand why my buddies no longer want to ride with me.
