I wear either a half helmet or a full face depending on the temp and how far I'm going. I don't care if anyone thinks I look lame wearing my FF but I will tell you that you will feel weird rolling into the HD dealer with one on. I did the other day and I was the only one with a FF and definetely stood out. Everyone else had their stupid vest and beanie helmet to match. Bottom line, wear whatever you're most comfortable in.

Ill agree with Scott2.0. Brought my bike to the dealer today for a service and its been pouring rain all day. I wore my FF and three other riders pulled in with half shells and faces that looked beat to hell. Good weather, half shell. Cold or rainy I'm going with the FF. Its not a look for me its a comfort thing.

Sometimes, no helmet. Lately, I've been wearing my Daytona Skull Cap. I have a 3/4 with face shield I wear in rain or cooler temps. And I have a modular I wear when I ride with temps in the 30's. I prefer not to ride in the 20's, but will on occasion. I've ridden in the teens before, but that's just too damned cold for me.

Yup, 44 degrees F, 82% humidity this morning and 15 miles to work at a steady 60 MPH. I'd like to see the guy with no helmet when he gets there.
Now obviously I realize there are other options for keeping your face from freezing, but I love my full face black HD helmet with the smoke black face shield.

I am making the switch to FF, have been saving for a good one. I don't like that chart that shows 40% of head impacts are face or jaw (ugh).
I took my first ride in a cheaper one last week and it was not bad at all, then I lucked out and came across a salesman from Bell on e-bay, hooked me up with a Matte Black Bell Star, Snell M2010, brand new for $225 (MSRP $549). I will have it in a few days.

I low sided last month when I hit some oil on an on-ramp. I tumbled/slid for about 40 feet. I dinged up my wrist and had some road rash, but other than that, I was good to go. Bike was fine and I rode on home. When I got home and took off my FF helmet, I noticed the right side of the face shield and chin bar were scratched up. Had I been wearing a 1/2 lid, my countenance would have been altered significantly.
