Real Harley owners dont wear full face helmets?

Here is a great example of how hard your freaking head hits the ground even at a low speed crash (SKIP to 2:40 by clicking the blue link for short attention spans):

I say what you wear is your own dang business. A FF helmet is the best protection from impact and elements. If you feel you want to, try out the others and see how you like it. It's your bike, it's your body, take care of it the way you feel the need. Don't let anyone tell you you're not a "real" Harley rider - is it a "real" Harley between your legs? Looks like a real Harley rider to me. Just get out and enjoy the ride.

I've never had, but plan to look at Full Face this winter because it's warmer, but only the FF that opens from the front like a 'flip up' face shield.
I do not want Emergency personnel to find me unconscious, (and maybe not breathing,) and yank the helmet off before establishing that my neck is not broken.
Aside from that, after 40 plus years of riding Harleys I don't think I've got much to prove to those 'real' Harley riders out there that might judge me...

Modular helmets don't have SNELL ratings yet. The Shoei X-12 with SNELL M2010 rating has a EMT-assist feature that has an inflatable bladder that assists in helmet removal.

Just some info on DOT vs SNELL.
A dot rating means less than nothing. Essentially, DOT ratings are given out by request, and then a random sample of helmets is selected for DOT testing. What this means is that your average make/model of DOT helmet has NEVER been tested at all. You can look this up, its all public info.
SNELL is a better certification because every model that bears the SNELL testing label has actually been tested by a lab and certified to meet the SNELL impact spec.
That is why I'll only wear SNELL helmets.
