I think i got into the 30% range on that diagram lately when i flew *** over head in South Dakota and impacted head first with 80-100 MPH wind behind me. Bike landed upside down almost standing on nose. Got knocked out and cut face even with full face. I was hurt but i am not going to be getting coloring books for Christmas the rest of my life. I think the ambulance crews were astounded that the 8 who were blown off the road were mostly wearing full face in no helmet state. I believe we are classified as "real HD riders" if anyone is.

I wear a FF helmet, and I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks about it.

I'll never wear anything else, I love FF helmets and I have tried all kinds.

I might add that was an AGV XR-2. A $300 helmet destroyed. That hurt in a monetary sense.

I don't usually wear a full face, but that is just because I like riding with my face to the wind. I will not let Tiffany ride without one, though. Words of wisdom...
Real Harley riders only wear open faced helmets. No.
Real Harley riders don't wear helmets? No.
Real Harley riders only wear long pants? No.
Real Harley riders do not wear gloves? No.
Real Harley riders don't ride Sportsters? No.
Real Harley riders ride in all weather? No.
Real Harley riders rack up tens of thousands of miles on their bikes? No.
Real Harley riders go to bike rallies? No.
Real Harley riders ride when they want, where they want, wearing what they want, and are secure enough not to care what other people think makes a "real Harley owner"? Correct!
Harley Davidson is not about the wardrobe or the trip, but about the freedom of the open road and enjoying a nice ride on a great motorcycle. It is about heritage, history, passion, and free spirit. A free spirit that cannot be weighed down by caring about what other people think. Ride safe.

Switched to full face 1 week ago. No problems for me...and peace of mind about my teeth and face now.

If you remove the windscreen/visor off the helmet...on a touring bike, it is just fine. I can hear my stereo same as before, and have jsut as much wind in my face as before. With the visor removed, air circulates between the front of my face and the chin guard portion of the helmet. I also have the vent open on top, and I'm nice and cool.

VERY comfortable and not a burden at all.

You just have to quit worrying about what others think, that's all.

Can you imagine walking around with a mashed face for life becasue you wanted to look cool? THANK GOD I came to my senses.

We even have a local 1%er that wears a full face. Smart dude.

Yeah, but your face doesn't look like someone took a cheese grater to your cheek.

exactly. Decided to give her a go....removed the face shield so I would feel the wind, and found a PERFECT way to go about it. It also lets the wind circulate under the chin guard area.

I have too much to lose to take THAT risk anymore. Cycling is enough of a risk.

FF helmets look dumb, but then my real face looks even dumber!
You may never crash, but the reduced wind noise from a FF may help you to hear your grandkids voices in the future.
          What's that worth?

Due to your limited vision you may not see that cager on the phone, and you might not hear it until your airborne.

          Ever thought of that?

I call BS on this statement. My FF doesn't seem limit my vision. Maybe you tried the wrong one or are listening to other naysayers without trying it yourself.
