Real Harley owners dont wear full face helmets?

Walked out to the bike yesterday to ride home from work. A guy who works here and has a Road Glide was putting on a FF helmet (I wear a FF Modular Nolan N104 EVO). I have known him 4 years and he has always used a Half Face. Shocked me. He said he had 3 friends this year (one was a female) who went down and tore up their face. He decided that a FF was it for him from now on.
Seeing someone I know destroy their face also got me in a FF over 10-years ago (I always wore a Half Helmet and a 3/4 with shield during cold weather). The key to a FF is to get the "right" FF helmet that "fits" correctly with wide eye port and great ventilation. It does takes away that full wind in your face freedom, no denying that. No point in the story, just relating that I am seeing more and more Harley riders going to Full Face helmets.
Life is comprised of compromises and risk management. It is up to the individual what they feel is right for them. I believe in freedom of choice
for those old enough to understand their choice and accept it.

Just googled motorcycle accidents. saw many gross pictures. Saved me spending $200 plus $20,000 to buy a 26 times safer car.
