This is so true! There is also no study that examines the lives of people that receive a head injury, but survive, because of an incident on a motorcycle. And no study, because it would be very difficult to get the information, that would indicate how many people have an incident of some sort and are able to get up and ride away because a helmet offered their head some protection.

It is not an exact science. A lot of it reduces to Dirty Harry's question "Do you feel lucky, punk"?

Some of us do.. i know my life was recently saved by wearing 3/4 DOT helmet. From now on, it's a 3/4 or a full face...

To each their own. I'm comfortable in my FF helmet and I've seen it save face, my dad has seen them save people's faces and my dad saw one guy with a 3/4 helmet get disfigured in a head on dirt bike collision at maybe 20 mph. It only effects the person wearing it, it's your choice. I'll keep wearing my FF.

Real Harley riders don't give dick what other people say! I wear one since I have to wear one because it keeps my face warm in the winter and has saved my pretty face several times from thrown rocks! The whole idea of being "free" is thinking that way too; wear whatever you want.

I wear one because it's stupid not to. And I don't care what other people think. It would be awesome to wear a brain bucket and just snap it on and off real quick but nah. I see a ton of harley riders now wearing full face helmets.

Helmet use and the type of helmet used is an IQ test.

In my Province, I must wear a DOT lid.

I would prefer not wearing a ****ing useless thing on my head that does nothing but catch the wind.

          Useless ****ing thing.

I also have a suicide wish, and I have no family that relies on me.

          No wife. No kids.

What I do with my body is my business. And only mine.

If I want to ride without a piece of **** plastic lid on my head, that is my ****ing business.

Too many people have family, or are "Good Christians" that love to dictate.

I have no family, and Jesus can go **** himself. If I'm gone, the world would be better off, and not one **** would be given.
