I've started to notice that my bike is "stuttering" as that is the only term I can think of to describe what it's doing. This only happens in 4th and 5th gear too.

I've noticed that my bike has started to "stutter" at 45-50 and 55+, nothing odd occurs below 40. Basically, I have noticed that the bike quickly decelerates - like I roll off the throttle for a second - then goes back to whatever RPM it was at (no RPM gauge so I can't see exactly what it's doing).

Has anyone ever experienced this or know what it could be? I bought this bike about a month or so ago, with 900 miles on it, and I have put another 1600 on. I have yet to take it in for it's first service, so I'll bring it up when I do, which should be this week.

Well, to start, you're really late on your first service. :P

I had that issue too, I think. I'm not sure if it's the same, but my 09 would drop in RPM, chug along for a second or two, then go back to normal. On more than one occasion I've pulled over and shut it down.

I never really did anything to make it go away. It just stopped being an issue (though I had the 1200kit put in about a week later, that might be why).

Not sure what advice to offer you.

 

I'm considering using Nitrogen and Danabeads in my tires.
