Default End of the line for the 1200 Custom?

Wow,
Looking at the 2011 lineup and what is missing -
No 1200 Custom for 2011?
Looks like no 21" front laced wheel option either except for the Wide Glide?

can we start calling ours Classic Customs now?

They may have dropped the C, but in reality the 1200L is the same height. And the 2011 1200L is just a 21" wheel swap and forward controls away from being a C.

Doesn't HD usually take a model out of the line up, then revamp it somehow, then re-introduce it the next year? Case in point- Wide Glide.

Yea, that and a few grand in missing chrome.

Like many other models that HD has dropped for a year or two and then brought back, I'll bet the C model is one of them.

The Nightie, Iron, 48, etc. all fit the same younger crowd market, which has been a hit for Harley lately. But there are many older, some multi bike, owners that still want a Sporty in their stable and the current lineup won't fill that bill IMO.

And after they do what ever they do to them, we really can call ours classics! ( I still like the old Wide Glides better anyway..)

I don't know. Other than chrome rear fender supports and a chrome headlight there's not much less chrome on the "new" 1200L. Just compare the pics. Really the biggest difference is the wheels, laced on both ends and no 21" on the front.

One thing I will say about low and super low at least they were smart enough to put the 4.5 gallon tank on it.

But I think it is a big mistake to drop the C. Thank god I have one.

Your right, other than what you mentioned they look pretty much the same going by those pictures.

I agree - the C was the best model and thats why I chose this model - a classic looking bike - I hope it`s not really the end.
