13 inch progressive shocks, drag specialties..
I have done a few 2 up rides, and solo rides with the new 13 inch progressive shocks on the 1200 low.
Wow, these things are really nice.
Every increase in length has been an improvement in ride quality and lean angle, but going from 12.5 to 13 inches seems to have made things really nice for some reason.
Solo, I do the softest position, I am 200 pounds, and the ride quality is really fantastic, I don't feel the bumps at all, its not a mushy ride, just nice.
With the wife on the back, and the shocks set stiffest, its also nice, although maybe position 4 would be fine, bumps are not an issue anymore.
In order to try moving the handlebars a bit, I ordered some short pullback risers from J+P cycles, they arrived yesterday, and I found they were made by Drag Specialties, and they did not work.
Not happy with Drag Specialties, the hiway peg kit I got had the wrong bolts in it, and the risers wont work.
The speedometer mount has nubs in it that hit the risers, and wont allow it to clamp the handlebars, plus the angle puts the speedometer at a stupid angle, pointing at my gut.
Nothing from them seems to be right...
So I am still looking for a way to pull the low bars a little bit to the rear.
I have two different low bars, and have the taller ones on now, and they are a little bit (1 inch) forward for maximum comfort maybe.

brett, i done this mod on my wifes 04 sporty. she has pull back risers causing the speedo to do as you said. what i did was move her speedo to above the eyebrow. got some spacers (i used 1/4'' deep well chrome sockets) with longer bolts. pulled the stock eyebrow bolts, placed the sockets then speedo and new longer bolts with blue loctite. cleans the middle section of your bars, makes the speedo more like its original position and as you look at it from the seat, you can see all the lights etc. just a thought
