Question Saddle Bag / Easy Bracket Question

I purchased a set of large throwover saddle bags with plans to purchase easybrackets to mount these bags on my 2009 Sportster. I will have to purchase the wide easybracket to extend out past the shock. If you have purchased these brackets please give me some feedback. Pictures would be great.

Road Captain,
The easy brackets that you have on your bag are they the wide (3 inches), so that the bags are out beyond the shocks.
Great looking bike.

Great looking bike.
my brackets are the normal size... the bags are just behind shocks- thx for the compliment!

i should have posted pics of the bags on the bike too... so here you go- this shows where i mounted the bags (you can adjust where you mount by where you put the bracket on the bag):

btw, after my pics load, you can click on them and they will blow up large so you can see detail better.

Default Saddle Bag / Easy Bracket Question (Revised)

I purchased a set of saddle bags that are 20 inches in length and want to use Easy Brackets with them. The model number of the EB is SPT-R2 which will mount the bags about three inches out to get past the rear shock. I am concerned as to how it will look if the bags are mounted 3 inches out from the fender. If you have purchased this bracket and mounted Large bags please give me some feedback. Pictures would be great.

yup, 20" is too big to clear both the shocks and the relocated turn signals for normal relocation kits. do you really want bags that big? for travel those would be nice. mine seem to do just fine and they are more like 15" wide or so.

Road Captain, Thanks for the reply. Yeah I wanted big bags for traveling but easy brackets for quick release. My main concern is how these bags will look mounted or spaced out three inches from the fender due to the thickness of the wide easybracket. Surely, there is someone out there that has bought these brackets.

Unhappy

Well it looks like no one has purchased the wide Easy Bracket to mount large saddle bags on a sportster.
