when i push the button to start the fuel injection it doesn't make the sound it used to. in fact it doesn't do anything. and the engine light doesn't come on. but when i push the start button it fires right up. i don't understand what is going on??? the key light comes on sometimes while i'm riding too, and when i put the key in the ignition it wouldn't turn so i flipped the key and put it in the pther way and it turned. what's up with that? do i need to replace the ignition? and get the fuel injection suck sound looked at with the engine light as well? any help please...

 

check your fuses, relays, and your battery cables...specially the negative. im a little confused with your desciption. you say you hit the start button and you dont hear the fuel pump. you should hear it as soon as you turn the key on. when you say it fires up, do you mean it starts or just turns over. do you have an alarm system? is the key the original? maybe the ignition switch needs lubricated. you can check for codes...read the sticky on codes, should tell you how to retrieve them. what year bike? miles? any mods lately? check the basics first....good luck
