Default new brake pads on my '02

I have a clymer manual and it looks a lot easier than I thought. Basically a couple screws, remove the old pads, compress the pistons, install new pads, tighten screws and I am done. Is it that easy??
What type of pads should I consider for improved braking performance? J&P has all kinds of pads in different materials, sintered, etc. I don't know what it all means and what I should look for. My riding style is heavy metro/ city riding semi-aggressive. I try to use the front as much as possible but I would say I brake with borh front and rear by "feel" a lot. Thanks for any help. This will be my first MC brake job, however I have advanced mechanical abilities and usually do the brakes on all of my cars and trucks.

Yup, it's that easy. I run EBC rather than the stock pads on the stock rotors. I would rather have a softer, faster stopping compound than a harder, longer wearing compound, but that's just me. Good luck with your brake project and ride safe out there!

Actually, they were not in stock. I ordered off the manufactur's site. Actually saved a couple bucks. Now I am going to start a new post about resurfacing the rotors.
