Default Opinions Please - Iron 1200 or Used Nightster?

OK, i'll keep this simple....as i didn't end up selling my dyna locally i'm working on a trade in for 1 of these 2 bikes....opinions please, !

2010 Iron - NEW ( dealer installed 1200 kit) Stage one, with screaming chicken intake/exhaust

2009 Nightster - (used) 5000k , dead stock.

Both are pretty much the same price and the issue is not color or anything easy....concerned about the gearing difference....will the nightster be better on highways? ( taller gears) i tour a fair bit ( one and 2 day trips)...also the nightster will require intake/exhaust/ which will cost a little.....not a huge fan of the flat black on the iron ( it was cool 5 yrs ago) but again i'm tring to keep the tins out of it and focus on the actual mechanics....any opinions are welcome

Last quick question.....anyone hitting the rev limiter on the 1200 conversion easily? I have read a few posts but cant seem to find much on it?

Cheers all!

Go with the Iron. Its new and about the same price. Honestly, I find my Nightster to be geared on the tall side anyway. If you feel the Iron is geared to low, swap out the front pulley for a slightly lager one.

Depends on the look you like but a new bike with a warranty at the same price as a 5000 mile used one seems like an easy decision for the iron.

I'd go with the Iron as well. Can't beat a new bike with a 1200 conversion under warranty.

Upon more research i think with a pully change i would be happy.....just hate flat paint as its a real pain to take care of ... ha, guess i cant keep the tin's out of this! CPITCH, your nightster look really good man....from tank logo to color choices i really feel harley got it right with the nightster......more pondering. I do agree a NEW bike is way sweeter, gotta make my decision by friday....worst part is i tuned up the dyna, put some narrow drags on her and went for a spit....fell in love again but i know once i hit corners at 70+ i'll be hating it again!

Now that harley lowered some of these sportsters, has anyone experienced a rear wobble in higher speed corners?...my dyna was great untill i went to 11" in the back and dropped the front 2"....

Just use Windex & a soft towel..very easy to clean. I Wipe my bike down in about 2 1/2 minutes.

With light bike use, yes, ...problem i have is road trips....my friends dyna bob is so scratched up from packs/ throwover saddle bags /& bungie marks everywhere....its a durability issue and a real issue to try to buff out....
