Love this thread.

I sold my Dyna earlier this year and I'm planning a Sportster Cafe. I want to build this bike almost exactly.

Here's my interpretation of a cafe brat.

Need ideas on what to do with the rear end tho! Was thinking about going with a blitwell speedway seat.

I'd leave the fender and seat as is and go with a "lucas" style taillight assembly. The link below is for a Joker machine Lucas LED taillight; real pricey but nearly bullet proof. Has a lot of pics so you can see how it will look on your cafe. IMHO this is a neat touch that sets the sportster cafe builds apart from the rest. Very old school.

You can go a less expensive rout and get a incandescent assembly from Dime City Cycles. You'll save about $100. Both will look really sharp.

No flame suit needed for my comments. Looks sweet as hell!!!

Wink

Visited the UK's main annual bike show yesterday, at the NEC Birmingham, and thought you chaps might like to see the cafe racer that stood out IMHO. Hardly a Sportster, to be strictly correct, with an S&S 100" engine and custom frame, plus a price tag of around 40k bucks, if you want one!

The price is a bit steep, but if money was not a priority, that bike would be.

Well I just custom ordered a new Iron 883, Cafe racer style. I have lots of extras I'll be adding in the near future.

I wish the mods would sticky some of these threads. Like this one and the 48 pic thread
