it really is just for show, because it doesn't ram air in because there's an opening at the back of the charger, but if you know what you're doing and you don't mind tuning your bike, you can block that opening, and then it's a pretty decent ram air scoop. Just takes some playing around with the jets and needles.

I have a Hypercharger.
I got it without doing a lot of homework...and on a whim because I was pissed off that my gf and I broke up and figured buying something for my bike would make me happy. I've never had any problems with it, however, knowing what I know now 3 years later, I probably wouldn't have spent the money on it. I look at it sometimes and wonder why an air cleaner has to have so many moving parts. Currently, I'm in the process of revamping my bike so I may end up ditching the Hyperchanger this winter for something simpler.
