Default Kuryakyn Hypercharger....Anyone using?

Thinking about going with the Kuryakyn Hypercharger on my 2000, 1200C.

Anyone using this ? Likes / Dislikes ? Is this simply bolt-on without messing with the carb ? Any noticeable difference ?

From a performance standpoint, the Hypercharger is "All Show and No Go".

They look great, but like posted above, a tuning nightmare.

Wouldn't put anything by Kury on any of my bikes, especially the hypercharger. Absolute performance killer. Can't even count how many I've seen put on bikes at the shop and watch them fall flat on the Dyno.

They may not do anything for performance, but Hyperchargers compliment a pair of pointy-toed snakeskin boots and a mullet rather nicely.

+1 For about the same money there are way better intakes out there.

it really is just for show, because it doesn't ram air in because there's an opening at the back of the charger, but if you know what you're doing and you don't mind tuning your bike, you can block that opening, and then it's a pretty decent ram air scoop. Just takes some playing around with the jets and needles.

looks like some one trying to make it look like it has a super charger to me. looks bad. a lot of people run them. will make no difference, unless you can hit 100 mph, then it might help a little.Kuryakyn Hypercharger....Anyone using?-air-cleaner1.jpg

I have a Hypercharger.

I got it without doing a lot of homework...and on a whim because I was pissed off that my gf and I broke up and figured buying something for my bike would make me happy. I've never had any problems with it, however, knowing what I know now 3 years later, I probably wouldn't have spent the money on it. I look at it sometimes and wonder why an air cleaner has to have so many moving parts. Currently, I'm in the process of revamping my bike so I may end up ditching the Hyperchanger this winter for something simpler.
