Man in Manila need help before buying a 1996 Sportster 1200

We were staying with family in Candaba, Pampanga down around Sta Ana, Angeles City. Was only in Manila to fly in and out the entire time. Spent a few days in Baguio City. I'm retired U.S.A.F. and did pass by the once Clark Air Base that now has an expressway running through it lol. So much has changed. 20 Years ago you didn't see many private vehicles like you see now. Kinda suprised a city as big as Manila couldn't have a HD dealer. I suppose you could have one shipped there but i have no idea the cost. Good Luck

Hi there Horsepower,
i was adviced by one big bike mechanic that those bolts starts to loose ones you use the bike on long rides, specially the lower years. i mean i too was suprised by that hehehe! by the way i visited some shops that do sells harley's like one there in makati, well its really jacked-up prices man! a second hand heritage for a cool million pesos whew! thats more than top end of harleys here in Alaska. well taxes and corruptions seems wondering around manila, too bad there's no Harley philippines.
im from makati by the way. im here in alaska for work but will be back by October.
PS: that 1996 sportster above was from motorcyclephilippines.com i also learned that it was also sold at sulit.com just noticed the bike when the buyer from sulit changed the handle bars, though maybe its just one owner, he just trying to get rid of the bike, notice the rear tire? its Duro brand man thats a cheap tire for a harley haha! maybe just maye he cant maintain it anymore.
a little help if you could point me out where i can seek a good sportster.
Salamat!

Well thats the reality dude, No Harley Davidson Philippines! that really sucks, the closest one is in Hong kong. but the f@kng customs in manila, is so corrupt even if you import them legally they will still ask for underground fee, so the cost would probably triple or quint from the actual cost of the bike, plus if they will not steal it.
heck! i would just probably buy that bike, and try to bargain it, if not i would probably stick with vulcan for a while, Damnit really love to ride a sportster.
