Exactly. I ride a Harley largely because it's slow. I used to ride a GSXR1000R, as well as a slew of other bikes, some faster than others. I choose to ride Harley because of nostalgia. I adore the fact that my motor was designed (in essence) 74 years ago. Anything that's been around that long must have something right. Harleys are about soul, and feeling, and nostalgia, and belonging. If I wanted to go fast (and lose my license... again), I would ride rice. Motorcycling is about individual expression, not about who's fastest.

their bikes suck. they don't hate my harley. they hate that i own a machine. I Love My 07 xl1200r. not because its a Harley. Because i own it and i kick ***. i actually like sportbikes. though i have never actually ridden one yet, they do look fun. But i love my bike. its mine and yours...
