Default The Agony and the Ecstasy

I am so stoked and so pissed all at the same time.

The good? My forward controls came in and 2 1/2 hours of swearing and muttering and chain-smoking and they are installed. WHOO HOOO!!!!

The bad? The freaking SOB shift peg would NOT come off the stock shifter and I ripped a chunk of rubber off of it (and a chunk of skin off my index finger) trying to get it off. I put a damn bolt in the hole for now so I can shift it long enough to get it to the freakin stealer tomorrow and buy another one.

The good? My LePera seat came in and the finish is fantastic. Definitely a better feeling seat than the stock one.

The bad? They sent me the wrong damn seat. I asked for the Bare bones LT with Gel pad and they sent me some 2-up Daytona Sport in its place. Now I gotta send it back and wait again.

And the best of all for last: My wife, seeing me sweating my butt off on the 90 degree, 95% humidity, beet red in the face and bleeding finger, told me that I could bring the bike in the house and work on it whenever I needed to. . . . On her hardwood floors..... I about fainted. WHAT A WOMAN!!!

Won't hear on my pipes until Wednesday or Thursday.... and who knows when my shocks are going to arrive... [8D]

I'll get some taken this afternoon. Went and got a replacement shift pedal this morning, shifting with a bolt in there is hell on my work shoes [:-]

1200 miles after I got my bike the shift peg fell of while cruising down the road. Luckly it wedged between the lever and primary without scratching. I just road it home shifting a bit wierdly and locktited it back on.

Ricky, Make sure you get blue Loctite just in the case you want to remove the peg one of these days.
