Default Turn Signal Relocation

I'm new to the Sportster, I recently picked up a new 07 Nightster. I wanted to change the location of my turn signals from the bars to he fork, what kit do I need to buy? Thanks

I don't like the look of the relocation kits from the dealer. I think the signals stick out too far. (Which is why I have not done mine yet!)

i got these from JP cycles

http://www.jpcycles.com/search/produ...il?sku=3200200

i went for the lower triple tree install, but you can do it on the top one too. comes with 2 sets of bolts depending where you want to mount em.

dont stick out anywhere near as far as the HD kit. cheaper too!

good price and fairly easy to install. i just sprayed them black - and roberts your fathers brother..

I used the H-D relocation kit but mounted it to the top tree instead of the bottom one. Also, the brackets are hidden by my fairing so you don't really notice that they stick out.

I was typing up a nice little narrative about why I think turn signals should remain on the handlebars but I accidently clicked a button and it wiped out what I had typed. I'm not going to bother retyping everything so I'll just say this...

Turn signals on the handlebars is one of those "uniquely Harley" styling cues. If you look at some other bike manufacturers (Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha etc...) you'll notice that in almost all instances the turn signals are mounted on the forks. On the other hand, if you look at Harley, you'll notice that almost ALL of their models have the signals mounted on the handlebars. For this reason I have decided to move my signals back to the bars.

Of course there are many practical reasons to move the signals to the forks... handlebar set-up and windshields for example. But if you are running the stock bar and don't have a windshield I urge you to maintain some of those "uniquely Harley" characteristics and keep the turn signals in the stock position.
