We were getting ready to head out last night for dinner and I opened up my enricher **** and it came right out!!! The cable is busted right off. Well, we took off anyway as it is still warm here in Georgia. Bike ran fine, and we went out again today. At least the bike is under warranty - we will definately be taking it in to have it fixed.

Anyone ever have this happen?

 

I have read a couple posts on here about enrichener **** troubles. I think most the troubles are from the cable either binding or sticking and then in the process of trying to operate it something breaks. Good it is under warranty, you might want to ask the dealer if they know of any tricks to help prevent this. Such as some way of lubing the cable that won't foul up the carb.

 

I had my enricher **** break on my '04 Sportdter 883, so I looked in the J&P catalog and bought a chrome one ...it looks better and it not cheap plastic.

 

I think it should be a recall since it's an emission control device.Mine hasn't messed up too bad yet but it's getting there.
