Default hd service manual wtf!?

can't find part numbers in the book. am i missing something or are they that ignorant?

You need a parts manual...well, they need to make another 48 bucks off you. A dealer can you help out with pn's a lot of times.

Not much different than most vehicles. There's a Service Manual and a Parts Catalog.

this is fawking rediculous the service manual doesnt even have my bike in it. I know most of it is the same, but the main reason i bought it was so I could work on the forks, and they are different

That's odd, the manual usually covers all versions of the factory equipment for all models covered.
Do you have the correct manual for your year/model?
Has you bike been changed from factory equipment?
Are you looking at the the correct page for your model forks? (sometimes you have to look at the next few pages to see if it covers different models)

yes, I have a 2010 forty eight and have the 2010 service manual. maybe the next one will have it. does anyone know when they come out?

You may be right.

The 2010 service manuals came out last September and the "48" was a mid-year addition. Call HD customer service.

looks like the all knowledgable parts guy at sold me the wrong one. I can already see how this is going to go
