I can t decide to do 13 or 12 on a 07 custom.

Thanks
I just got the 12 on last night and will ride to work today. I expect no difference but it should not feel like I am about to fall over when I put it on the jiffy stand. Mostly I wanted to drop back close to stock height for my passengers. I am long in the legs so it did not bother me.

Some guys have cut there belt guards and that is an option for sure.

I am so glade that I found this thread. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I'm planning a Iron Butt ride on my '09 Iron 883 and between the rock hard seat, I really think a new set of air shocks will help alot. I have just been unsure how it will effect the hight of the bike, and now I have a good idea on what I need to get.

Thanks again!!!

I have an extra pair of shocks from my 09 FLHTC (low profile/12") and have been thinking of putting them on my 48. Curious to those who have done this mod...what is the difference in the ride? Do you you stock shock position?

Are they in fact 11.5? Everything I'm finding (by searching google) seem to indicate these are the standard 12" eye-to eye low profile schock...

To air up my shocks, I got a HD pump but did not like the way it worked.
So I just air up my portable storage tank, check it with my $3 0-20psi Green Slime pen air gauge (Wal-Mart) and use that to fill my shocks. About 7-10 psi single or 15-20psi 2up seems to be just fine for my liking!
