Just thought I'd post some up to date pictures of my ride, with it's latest mods, Avon Gangster Whitewalls, Bars now internally wired, 1" lowering kit on the rear, relocated front turn signals and my newly recovered seat and pillion.

I have waited a year to do my seat as I was unsure as to exactly what I wanted to do, didn't want to go the spring seat route, so I have had the original seat and pillion reworked in hand tooled and laced leather with a skirt on the rider seat, not everyone's taste I'm sure, but I LOVE it!

My friend Bill at Slacker Garage Shop Got my RSD filter done with the new brass spacers he built. I think it turned out sweet!

Well after a month I finally got my bike back. It had fried the ECM and had to be replaced

I picked up a detachable sissy bar and back pad...now my girlfriend can release the death grip she usually has on me and relax a little. It doesn't look as back as I thought it would. Also won a set of pegs from DK Customs() and I used them as passenger pegs.

I have a 48 now and I went with Drag bars. I want to switch to ape and I like your setup. What all did you have to change for those apes? length of cables (Clutch, brake, throttle, idle electrical...) any thing else I'm missing so I can get the right equipment?

Hey man, can you tell me what you have on your seat for springs? I can’t tell if they’re coil springs or the hair pin springs. Not sure if the pic isn’t close enough or my eyes just suck.. (I’m going with the latter)

Would you mind posting some close up pics?

Thanks,

Mark

The bars are Licks cycles 10" Z bars(dimpled). $120. Only cable I had to replace was the brake line. I bought a "build your own" kit black stainless(6 foot roll) from magnum shielding. $60. Cut it down to 34". I used 90 degree banjo bolts, but think 35 degree ones would work better. Used the stock throttle/clutch cables, just had to cut off a few cable ties to get some extra length. Also Unbolt front of gas tank and move the cables up over top of the tank bolt mount instead of under it for more length.

There's actually no springs. It's just some rubber stoppers that are mounted into the HD springer seat. Here's the thread with the how-to and where to get everything as well as some close up pics. Credit goes to Arron for the great idea.
