Not sure which paint he used, but I used this stuff: http://www.designengineering.com/cat...licone-coating

Works great and matched the black finish on the Rush slip ons perfect on my bike.

After a ton of research I discovered something. A lot of people were having great success painting heat shields, pipes & headers on motorcycles & race cars using John Deere Muffler paint. Well, JD wants $20 a can. After MORE research I discovered Valspar makes the paint for JD. THEN I found Valspar tractor & Implement paint @ Tractor Supply. Picked up a can of High Temp(1,200 degrees) for $6.79!!! So to sum it up it's JD muffler paint. Prepped it w/Scotchbrite pads, washed w/Dawn soap, let dry & sprayed 4 coats. Let dry in sun for 1 hour then baked in oven @ 250 degrees for 1 hour.
