The badges were to be the starting point, they are actual and off a 62 HD service car all scratched and the paint is all cracked. The tins are not painted, they were all stripped and I applied An acid that made them that color. They are all ruff with no sanding done to them.

I bought matte clear two part in a rattle can to spray and protect them from further rusting. My painting ability not so good with plenty of runs and the matte was too shiny for what I assumed it would turn out like. But after it was done and on the bike I said to myself " if I wanted it to look professional I would have hired it out", my intent was to be rat like and well it is with all the flaws that were intended and some not so much.

The air shocks I did as well at the same time are amazing, I have owned a Nightster and now this and I can not believe how much softer the ride is.

Solo riding.

New form of two-up instead of taking off my solo seat and putting the Badlander back on.

KeeBee, those tires are badass.

You'll have to let us know how they ride.

I'm loving it, and this thread has given me serious inspiration over the past 2 years!

Its funny how good your bike looks with all the dirt on it. the chain drive adds to the old dirty look.

nice job man.

Bike sits up a little higher so it alters the ride a little. Just rode it around the neighborhood and to the gas station so far. Don't want to get too crazy yet because I did change do quite a few upgrades the past month.

Going to ride it to work on Monday and see how she does will let you know. Getting rain here the next three days so I can't take it out till maybe later Sunday afternoon.
