Put on the cruise bar and waiting on the docking kit for the chopped fender luggage rack.....almost done........

observation: it looks as though the passenger pegs would not be accessible with the bag intsalled.. someone correct me.. please...

 

I just picked this one up Saturday. It's my first (street) bike. Been around sport atvs and dirt bikes for several years. Liking it so far. A set of pipes and Power Commander are on the way as well as a black springer seat. And I'll probably order a set of Z bars soon...maybe today.

 

Daniel Hunter - How are you liking that dakota digital? I'm thinking of getting one for my 48 over the winter.

youradhere - What kind/color/size Z-bars are you getting?
I've been waiting on Licks to make another batch of black 10" z-bars for a few weeks now. As soon as they're available im ordering a set.

 

Probably going with black. I havent looked around at my options yet and was considering apes over Z bars but after seeing a few 48's with apes I changed my mind.

HD shop is saying they're having trouble getting a black springer but have a brown one in stock. Not really digging the black on brown look. Is there any other options for a springer seat?

They do other colors as well as custom designs in the leather

 

Many other options - check around at the aftermarket dealers. Some or most will require some mods and the HD is a bolt-on. Had to wait a few days for my brown one from the dealer and he had several black ones in stock at the time - go figure!! Good luck with the upgrades. The 48 is a great canvas. Oh, and congrats on the new bike.

 

Sweet...thanks for the links. Im waiting to see what the HD shop says. If only they offered that seat in black with brown inserts. I'd be all over that. Although after looking at your sig I might just go with the brown. Especially since Im highly considering the gold flake tank HD offers.


Im also in the middle of building a XS650 hardtail that I'll either a) keep to screw around with/as a spare/backup or b) sell for 48 parts.
