Attended a local car show this past Sunday and the local HD dealer was present with several bikes for display...

Did you have a problem with the V&H pipes? And registration in Ca. I'm your neighbor in Pasadena and I just got my 48 out of Texas with after market straight pipes, sounds great but I'm worried about getting her registered in Ca. Any thoughts on this. I wonder if I could rent some OEM Pipes for the day...there's a thought!

Check the local craigslist for OEM pipes, they can be found real cheap.

Now that is a simple but very nice setup. Gives me some ideas of where I might want to go.

Just finished the internal wiring yesterday and will be putting my new 14" on within a few days!

Thanks @Sweforty8, gonna love your new 14s. It feels just right with loads of comfort involved.
One question; what do you all use to paint on the tires?? any recommendations? does these tire pens work?

Yep! A simple white tyre marker. Wash the tyre first then apply at least two coats. It's a bit fiddly especially when the tyre is still on the bike but take it slow and you'll have some nice white letters on there eventually.
