I gotta say these bikes look great! I had a 95 1200 which was fun for a while until my hands went numb (vib's from engine at hwy speed). Since the newer ones have rubber mounted engines I think that would alleviate that.
Question-I hear people saying the sports are more for hopping around, short runs etc. Since HD made the change to rubber mount why wouldn't the sportsters be considered as comfortable as let's say a wide gilde for long hauls? (sorry it's been a while since I've ridden currently looking for a bike).
thanks

Gotta say that my 48 isn't as comfortable on the longer trips as my Heritage was but went on a road trip last week and only stopped when I needed fuel. The 48 only has a 2.1 gallon tank and I stopped at 87 miles to get fuel. Seems as I recall I rarely would have ridden further than that without stopping on my Heritage anyway.

I like those bars on the pic you posted, did you get those at HD or somewhere else? Looks great, and one of the only mods I am considering..

Hey Wildthang, Assume they're the 3" mini black mirrors on Lick's site? Do they fit right up on the 48?
