Crappy pics...it's dark, been raining for 12 hours straight and the mosquitos were trying to eat me. But I decided to give mids a shot for now, chopped my sprocket cover and removed the heat shields and wrapped them. I know it's kinda cliche but I'm getting tired of the "out of the box" look. So this will do for now.

So, how are the mids going then?

Haven't had a chance to ride with them yet. It's been raining all day here, and still is currently. Hopefully by the morning it'll clear up and I can go try them out.

I hope your weather is better than ours. Absolutely chucked it down last night. Did you manage to get out?

It stopped raining just enough to go about 3 miles, the roads were still soaked but since it was filthy from getting caught in rain a few days before I took it out. I'm liking the mids but I want to put a good ride on them before I make a final decision. Hopefully the weather clears soon.

HERE, I'm having trouble seeing your pics. I'd love to see that sweet bike.
From what I can see in your sig pic, how tall are your apes?
Who did your paint?

I have a few pics a few pages back and scattered throughout the thread. I'll try to get some better pics once the weather gets decent here. We have rain forecast for about the next 5 days. Over the weekend I swapped to mids, wrapped the pipes, chopped the sprocket cover and also removed the front fender.

The apes are 12" Nash Chubby Gimps(or Grits, don't remember which). I also have a 1.5" spacer under the bars which makes them a little taller.

Paint was done by a guy here locally. He stripped off the factory clear coat, removed the big SPORTSTER decal, then sprayed the gold flake scallops then cleared it all. Pretty happy with it and it was $400. Same guy painted this Street Glide for my dad. He does damn good work.
