Well, I can't knock you for financing through USAA they are a great financial institution. Even so, you can find new 1200's for much better prices online. The stealer will try and wring as much money out of you as they can. Even if they do give you a so called "deal" they are still walking away with a good chunk of change in their pocket. I had to find out the hard way I wanted mine so bad that I paid the price offered and didn't look around. I paid about $10800 total with tax and everything else included. Another thing buy the service manual and save yourself a ton of money by doing your own services. It's not hard remember it's a simple air cooled 2 cylinder engine. Good luck man.

That model and year, USAA will only give me the N.A.D.A. average retail @ $8,310. Other thing is, any OTD price on new mc that's over $10,000 and USAA will give me a 60 month payment plan; under 10k and it's 48 months. bottom line for me at this point is keepin my payments at $200/month. Nice bike though, but you payed too much if you bought used, imho.
