I actually bought a 48 about three weeks ago. I wanted black really bad but they only had three silver ones. They checked and no dealer close had one for a dealer trade and they weren't scheduled to get any through July. They offered me the silver at the black price. Not huge, but I was happier about it.
On a 48 the color is only on that tiny tank anyway and now I'm thinking the silver is pretty snazzy.

NO deal, no way! Let someone else eat that depreciation, you can get a bike less than a year old, loaded, much cheaper. Just have to hunt for it.

Look at dealerships online, if you find something you want it may be cheaper to have it shipped to you

The bike alone is $7040, plus SE1200 conversion and Samson Shorties for $1650, SERT $160, labor was the big one at about $700 - $800 for the conversion and exhaust change. They said they would change out the tins with no extra labor charge.

I'm currently working between them and another dealer to see who comes out on top. We'll see how goes.

My other thing is that I'm financing through USAA, so 100% of a new loan OTD, or 100% of a used at N.A.D.A value.

Id look around some more, I got my 09 1200c with 6 miles on it for 9k, and I thought I got a good deal this was only about a month or so ago.
a week or so later I went to the yamaha dealer with a friend to pick up a trailer for his trike, and there was a very very nice 09 1200c with less than 1k miles for $7000, never would have thought to look there, but oh well.
They also had a 08 road king with alot of goodies and about 8k miles for 11k, which I thought was pretty cheap after looking at the bike.
Good luck

Dave
