Mirror vibration on 96 Sportster.
Hi: I have a 96 1200C Sportster and I am wondering if there are mirrors out there that do not vibrate so much that when looking a cars behind you, the image is always blurred a little especially when their lights are on. Is this something I have to get used to or are there mirrors out there that transfer less vibration? Thanks: Tom

you can try the polyurathane riser bushings. they are supposed to help. and i have heard a lot of people say that adding a roll of pennies siliconed into the end of the handlebars does wonders for the vibrations as well. all you do is get a roll of pennies preferably the ones wrapped in the plastic shrink wrap that some places use and put enough silicone around them and put them in your bars at the end of each one. make sure not to get any silicone on the outside of the throttle side and that is supposed to help a lot. i've also heard of people using those egg shaped sinkers for fishing. they do sell weights meant to put in the bars but everyone says they are expensive and most have done the penny trick and said it works great.

I am not sure, but I thought I read somewhere about convex mirrors versus straight (flat) mirrors that one will give you better viewing (without as much vibration) but will not give you as much pariferal (spelling?) vision. The other mirror will then give you more periferal vision, but will not be as clear (more vibration). I believe it is the convex mirror that gives you better viewing, but cannot remember for sure. Has anyone else heard of this or have convex mirrors on their bike? I only have flat mirrors and they vibrate lol. It is something to look into at least.
