Default Samson street sweepers are low!

put on a new set of Samson street sweepers on my 09 Nightster, and have them adjusted as far up as the mounting bracket will allow at the rear, and the damn things scrape at the smallest of turns, I'm pretty bummed at this point...

guess i'm looking for pipes again, maybe some that won't be so damn low the ground...grrrrr

suggestions?

Had that same problem. I set my stock rear shock adjustment to the stiffest setting and things are happy again.

I got the Nightster because of it's low looks, I'd like to keep it that way, just need to get some good pipes that dont come down so low, like V&H side shot's or something....do V&H short shots come down lower than the stock Nightster exhaust? Anyone have the V&H big radius pipes on their sportster?

hehehe, i hear ya, but i thought they sweeped the street by the exhaust gasses coming out, not scraping it up like a dust pan

A hacksaw might help with a temporary fix.
